Fragrant Fiend was created from a deep love for fragrance and the powerful way scent can transform how we feel.
For most of my life, I wasn’t focused on appearance or aesthetics—but scent was different. It felt personal. Intimate. Essential. I cared deeply about hygiene and the way I smelled, but I stayed within the world of body sprays and mists, never imagining I would one day fall in love with fine fragrance.
That began to change through my husband, who had a true passion for colognes. He spent time researching notes, compositions, and scent profiles, often sharing what he learned with me. At the time, I didn’t fully understand it—I even remember thinking it was a bit excessive.
Everything shifted during a visit to Dillard’s.
While we were searching for a fragrance for him, an associate introduced me to Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. I was immediately drawn in. Then came the eau de parfum—richer, deeper, more lasting—and something clicked. What started as curiosity quickly became captivation.
That day, I purchased my first high-end fragrances, including Valentino Donna Born in Roma—and unknowingly stepped into an entirely new world.
At first, my collection remained small, centered around a few signature scents. But over time, fragrance revealed itself to be so much more than something you wear. It became a source of comfort, confidence, and emotional connection. During some of life’s most challenging moments, a single scent could shift my mood and ground me in an instant.
As my curiosity grew, so did my collection. With the help of a friend who introduced me to new fragrances, I began exploring more intentionally—learning, testing, and discovering the artistry behind every bottle. What started as interest evolved into a true passion.
But along the way, I realized something was missing.
I had questions—so many questions—and I struggled to find clear, honest answers in a space that often felt overwhelming or inaccessible.
That’s when everything came full circle.
Encouraged by my husband, I decided to become the resource I had been searching for—and Fragrant Fiend was born.
